Lake Batur

Lake Batur is one of the lakes in Bali which included the type of active caldera lake located at an altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level. Batur Lake water comes from rain water and permeation of water from the surrounding mountains. In the western part of the lake Batur is an undulating lowland to mountain shelf. And in the north, east, and south is an area of steep hills to Mount Abang so the scenery around the lake looks very beautiful.

  

Lake Batur has a function as a source of biodiversity variety of aquatic and terrestrial biota, as well as socio-economic functions of culture in the region. Sources of income of the people around Lake Batur is from agriculture, fisheries and there is also the use of the tourism sector.
